itna sukhan men bekal hona parta hai
apne ap se ojhal hona parta hai

jub khamoshi baa mane ho jaey to
lafzon ko phir mahmal hona parta hai

haste baste shahron men rehne walon
akhir akhir jangal hona parta hai

din ko bhi sooraj ki aag men jal jal kar
sham ki ankh ka kajal hona parta hai

dil men her khuwahish ko zinda rakhta hun
baz auqaat to maqtal hona parta hai

sahir ajub hota hai sahar bulandi ka
pani ko bhi badal hona parta hai
