Hum nai jab bhi tujh ko apna bana chaha
sang har shaks nai ku ham pe uthana chaha

Ghair hote jo yaha koi naii baat na thi
dukh howa yu bhi k tu nai bhi satana chaha

Ye talab ham na mitate to mitata na koi
haan yehi soch kar dastoor nibhana chaha

Ab yaha koon nibhata hai purani rasmai
bhool ja mujh ko yehi us nai batana chaha

Her koi jaha doulat ki talab mai har dam
piyar ka deep waha ham nai jalana chaha

Dil dekh kar waqt nazaa wo mujhe chor gaya
aakhri waqt mai jab usko bulana chaha

Apney hatoon huwa ruswa tu Anjum pe ye khula
ham they nadan jo kaha dil ko lagana chaha
