Nai dil mein koi to bata wo khat mein salaam kiska tha
Naa raqiib tha tera to wo naam kiska tha

Mujhse chupaoge to kya paoge akhir tera "dil" hu
Jo har roz bheja hai narzon se wo payam kiska tha

Hunar chaiye Ishq k rutbe ko chupane k liye
Chalo wo koi nai par tujhpar likha yeh kalaam kiska tha

Aj kal sajne lage ko niharne lage ho khudko aino mein
Teri ankho ko yeh bebaq intezaar kiska tha

Kehdo mujhse to khud bhi karar paoge is se
Zehan mein yeh khayal subh o shaam kiska tha

Mujhse kehti ho k Ishq hota kaise hai aye "Dil"
Par ab bata tujhpe jaan yeh shumar kiska tha

ek nazar mein tujhe ghayal karke wo betabi inaam kargaya
Baali umar mein bata yeh nazr ekatl ka kaam kiska tha?
