Kisi muajaza-e-shab-e-wasel kaa
koii bhi intizaar nahii
Ju behk chuke haiN ye wo jaam haiN
Ab in maiN koii bhii khumaar nahii
Na ye sehra na ye gulistaaN
Na wo chamn ke jis kaa aitbaar ho
Fasiil-e-gul ke iss nagar kaa
ab koii shajar koii shakhsaar nahii
Ju guzr gaye wo azaab thay
Na thay MuhabbatouN ke silsile
Mere iss shehr maiN tu
aisaa koii bhii gunah gaar nahii
koii aisa fitrat saaz bhii ho
ke ju apne dushman-e-jaaN ko bhii
rkhtaa ho aziz ter
Shayed yahaaN aisa koii dawedaar nahii
ab ke mizaaj kuch youN bhii he
dila kaa
ke ker saktaa nahii he koii bhi faislaa
ke ju ayyaam-e-haal he Beshtar
wo mere khyaal ke haiN Peshtar
Ju paaouN haiN desht maiN dhanse huwe
door door tak koii Nishaan
Koii bhii mosam-e-Bahaar nahii
