Kalmi Kabab
Ingredients: Gram Lentils/Channa Dal - 250gms
Potato Raw - One Chopped
Ginger - 1”
Green chilies - 2
Onion - One
Salt - To taste
Gram Flour (Besan) - 2 ½ tsp
Or -
Semolina (Suji) - 2 ½ tsp
Hot Oil - 2 tsp
Oil - For deep fry
Garam Masala - Pinch
Red Chili Powder - to taste
Coriander Leaves - 1 tbsp
Mint Leaves - 3 or 4
Mint Powder - ¼ tsp
Mango Powder (Amchoor) - ½ tsp
Directions...
Soak chana dal in water for 2hrs before cooking.
Separate dal from water and grind it in mixer.
Now add chopped potato, amchoor, salt, red chili, coriander leaves, mint powder, grated ginger, garam masala in dal mixtutre.
Now add green chilies and besan, mix well.
Beat the mixture for about 2min to make soft kabab’s.
Now make small ball shape from the mixture.
Deep fry all the kabab’s on low heat to cook them from inside also.
Fry them until they attain light golden color.
When they are light golden in color, remove them from the oil and cut them into long strips and fry again.
