'' I Am Telling You About A Certain Mentality . A Mentality Which Gave Birth To Many Kinds Of Prejudice And Hatred In Pakistan. A Mentality Which Broke Pakistan. Take A Young Muhajir Looking For A Job . He Has Secured Top Position In All His Exams. He Goes For An Interview ,

" They Ask Him : ' Where Are You From ? '
" He Replied That He Is From Karachi Or Hyedarabad .
" But They Say : ' No Who The Hell Are You ?'
" He Says That He Is Pakistani , A Mussalman.
" No we Know That, But Where Are You From Originally ? '
" He Says He Belong To Karachi, That Is All.
" No, No, Where Were Your Father And Grandfather Born?'
" He Says That His Father And Grandfather Were Born In Hindustan.
" Ah ! So You Are A Muhajir.
" How Am I Muhajir ? He Cries. 'My Father Migrated, I Did Not . I Was Born Here, In Pakistan. '
"No, No ! Your Identity Is Not That Of Punjabi, Sindhi, Baluch, Or Pathan. So You Are Muhajir. A Child Born Of A Muhajir Is A Muhajir.'
" I Do Not Understand Or Accept This,' He Cries , ' I Am Hearing This From You Today For The First Time.
" He Gives The Interview And Returns To Discover That Whilst Duffers Have Been Selected Those Who Had A Series Of First Class Results, And Came First In The Written Exam For The Job As Well, Were Not Selected. They Failed The Interview Because Their Fathers Had Migrated . when This Happened Again And Again Muhajir Boys Started Migrating First To England And America . Because Of The Need And Their Qualifications They Could Go There. When These Countries Reached Saturation Avenues Opened For Them In The Middle East. That Reached Saturation Point As Well. The Muhajir Youth Set At Home, He Had Education But No Job. His Frustration Grew. If Hunger, Poverty And Deprivation Are Not Alleviated, They Lead To Negative Tendencies. This Kind Of A Saturation Usually Pushes People Towards Crime. Thank God That The Muhajir Qoumi Movement Was Established And This Frustrated Youth Got An Outlet. It Saw Hope.

" Please Understand, That This Discrimination By The Hierarchy, Not Altaf Hussian, Made Them Muhajir. It Was The Discrimination, The Treatment Meted Out To Them By Prejudiced People In Authority Which Created In Them A Sense Of A Separate"Muhajir" Identity. Now The Word "Muhajir" Does Not Carry Only Its Dictionary Meaning but A Wider Meaning As Well . Today, In Relation To Pakistan, When It Is Asked What Percentage The Muhajirs Are, It Will Be Understood In The Whole World That The Muhajirs Are Separate Identity Like The Pathan, Sindhi, Punjabi Or Balochi."
