A few days ago, I saw the above cartoon on Friday Times web site which was part of a commentary by Najam Sethi titled "National Consensus and Core issues" which made me think about something. Jab bhi there is a drone strike, log sadkon may aa kar naare lagate hayn ki innocent people were killed. I’ve also seen the news about the drone strikes where after every hamla kuch log weapons ki sath aate hayn aur us jaga ko cordon karte hayn aur sub bodies ko apne sath le jate hayn. Khabaron may ye bhi publish ho jata hay ki the dead and wounded were militants. If there is no news about innocent people getting killed and only militants were killed then why do we go on a rally? Sometimes it seems like with these rallies hum militants ko support kar rahay hayn. Kya aur readers ko bhi aisa hi lagta hay?

The media may be corrupt, magar, if the news says that the militants were killed and others came with weapons and closed off the area and took away the bodies, then it is safe to assume that militants were killed. Mera problem awam ke saath hai kyon ke they go on rallies without finding out the truth about kaun in attacks may maara gaya.
