Zist azar hui jati hai
Sans talawar hui jati hai
Jism bekar hua jata hai
Ruh bedar hui jati hai
Kan se dil mein utarati nahin bat
Aur guftar hui jati hai
Dhal ke nikali hai haqiqat jab se
Kuch purasrar hui jati hai
Ab to har zakhm ki munhband kali
Lab-e-izahar hui jati hai
Phul hi phul hain har simt `nadem`
Rah dushwar hui jati ha
