Kyun yeh hasrat thee dil lagaane kee
Thee na himmat agar nibhaane kee

Maang kar ham say lay liya hota
Kya zaroorat thee dil churaane kee

Kaun aayegaa bhool kar raasta
Dil ko kyun zidd hai ghar sajaane kee

Abb nahi aas kuchh rihaa'ie kee
Baat chairo na ashiyaane kee

Rung tum bhi badlaty ho pall-pall
Khoob tasveer ho zamaane kee

Butt ho kaabaa ho ya kaaleesaa ho,
Ham ko aadat hai sarr jhukaane kee

Tum nay insaaf kuchh kiya aisay
Go adaalat ho zamaane kee

Kya mazaa un say roothnay kaa
Jinn ko fursat nahi manaane kee

Life is so sweet but still sad.
