kaal raat neelay asman par daikha ek sitaara
Ghabraya howa sharmeela sehma sehma aur piyara

Falak mai thee ghungryali lehrain rawaan dawaan
Par is kee moojoodgee sai tha ajeeb sa saamaan

Yaroon sai juda tha asmaan par akaila, nanha taara
Daikhnay ko kabhi na mila tha manzar itna piyara

Daikhtay Daikhtay is par taaras anay laga
Sharmeela tara nazroun sai janay laga

Khuda janay kidhar ko nikla, bas wo ghabra gaya
Ghabratay ghabratay wo neechay ko agaya

Rangeelee dunya jo daikhaa diwana howa is tarhan
Pagal majno ho jaisay, aashiq ho jis tarhan

Duniya kee saaakhtiyoun nai issay toor phoor diya
Ah Doost! Aaj wo tookroun mai hai para

Kash koee raham dil issay joray aur uthaaaiy
Wapas issay apnay chamaktay maqam par poohunchaiy
