chor day ga yun wo mujhe tanha kabi socha na tha
maine jis ko zindagi se kam kabi chaha na tha

muntazir tha sath meray doobta suraj b magar
dhal chuki thi sham or wo laut k aya na tha

yaad ata hai to dil ye deta hai sdaaa
wo tera ho kar b shayed tera na tha

sath rehtay sath jeety sath chalty umr bhar
apni qismat main to shayed is tarha likha na tha

ro lia karta tha aksar dekh kar halat meri
kya hua tha majra us ne kabi poocha na tha
