dil aur wo bhii TuuTaa huaa dil
ab zindagii hai jiine ke qaabil

kyaa zindagii kaa ehasaas-e-shaamil
tere baGair ek Gaarat-garii dil

hotaa hai jitanaa Khuun-e-tamannaa
ba.Datii hai utanii rangiinii-e-dil

josh-e-junuu.N me.n yak saa hai dono
kyaa gard-e-sehraa, kyaa Khaak-e-ma.nzil

taqdiir-e-insaa.N aur ye zamaanaa
ek marG-e-aasaa.N aur wo bhii mushqil

lab par tabassum, aa.Nkho.n me.n aa.Nsuu
ham likh rahe.n hai.n afsaanaa-e-dil

'taskeen' se aksar ham bhii mile hai.n
kuchh bhii ho lekin hai saahib-e-dil
