The Virtues and Benefits of *Surah-AL-Mulk*

1- The Prophet said, ‘There is a surah in the Qur’an which is only thirty verses. It defended whoevere\recited it , until it puts him into paradise ‘ i.e.Surah al Mulk[Fath al Qadir 5/257, Sahihul Jamiea 1/680, Tabrani inAl-Awsat & Ibn Mardawaith]

2- The Prophet said, ‘Surah al Mulk is the protector from the torment of the grave ‘[Sahihul Jamiea 1/680, Hakim 2/498 & Nasai]

3- Jabir (radiAllahu anhu) said it was the custom of the Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihe wasallam not to go to sleep until he had read Tabarakalladhi Biyadihil Mulk and Alif Laam Meem Tanzeel. [Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Darami]

4- Anas (radiAllahu anhu) reported Rasulullah (sallallahu alaiyhi wasalam) as saying, "There is a Surah which will plead for its reciter till it causes him to enter paradise" (Tabarakalladhi Biyadihil Mulk). [Tabrani]

1. Wo Allah! Jis Kay Haath Main Badshahi Hay, Bari Barkat Wala Hay, Aur Wo Har CheeZz Par Qadir Hay,

Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;-










2. Usi Nay Maut Aur Zindagi Ko Paida Kia, Takay Tumhari Azmaish Karay, Kay Tum Main Kon Achay Kaam Karta Hay Aur Wo Zabardast Aur Bakhshnay Wala hay

He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving;-









3. Usi Nay Saat Asmaan Upper Talay Banayee, Ay Daikhnay Walay! Kia Tu Khuda-e-Rehmaan Kay ----- Kuch Naqs Daikhta Hay? Zara Aankh Utha Kar Daikh, Bhala Tujh Ko Asman Main Koi Shigaaf Nazar Atta Hay?

He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of ((Allah)) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw?









4. Phir Dobara Seh Bara Nazar Kar, To Nazar Haar baar Tere Pass Nakaam Laut Aye Gi...

Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out.









5. Aur Hum Nay Kareeb Kay Asmaan Ko TarO Kay ChiraghO Say Zeenat Di, Aur Un Ko Shaitan Kay Marnay Ka Aalaa banaya Aur Un Kay Liye Dahekti Aag Ka Azaab Tayaar Kar Rakha Hay

And we have, (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.









6. Aur jin Logo Nay Apnay Parwardigaar Say Inkaar Kiya, Un Kay Liye Jahanam Ka Azaab Hay Aur Wo bura Thikana Hay,

For those who reject their Lord (and Cherisher) is the Penalty of Hell: and evil is (such), Destination.









7. Jab Wo Us Main Dalay Jaye GaY To Us Ka Cheekhna Chillana Sunain GaY Aur Wo JoSh Maar Rahi HoGi

When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath even as it blazes forth,









8. Goya Maray JoSh Kay Phat Paray Gi, Jab Us Main Un Ki Koi Jamaat Dali Jaye Gi to Dozakh Kay DarOgha Un Say PoOchain GaY, Tumharay PasS kOi Hidayat Karnay Wala nahi Aya Tha?

Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?"









9. Wo Kahain GaY Kion Nahi! Zaroor Hidayat Karnay Wala Aya Tha, Laikin Hum Nay Usay Jhutla Diya, Aur Kaha Kay Allah Nay To Koi CheeZz NaZil Hi Nahi Ki, Tum To Bari Ghalati Main Paray Howay Ho..

They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, '(Allah) never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'"









10. Aur Kahain Gay Agar Hum Suntay Ya Samjhtay Hotay To DozakhiyO Main Na HotaY,

They will further say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!"









11. PuS Wo Apnay GunnahO Ka Iqraar Kar Lain GaY, SO DozakhiyO Kay Liye Rehmat-e-Khuda Say Doori Hay

They will then confess their sins: but far will be (Forgiveness) from the Companions of the Blazing Fire!









12. Aur Jo Log Bin Daikhay Apnay Parwardigaar Say Dartay Hain, Un Kay Liye bakhshish Aur Ajr-e-Azeem HaY

As for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward.









13. Aur Tum Log baat Poshida KahO Ya Zahir, Wo Dil Kay BhaidO Tak Say Waqif HaY,

And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts.









14. Bhala Jis Nay Paida Kya Wo Baykhabar Hay? Wo To Posheeda BatO Ka Jan'nay Wala Aur Har CheezZ Say Agaa'h HaY..

Should He not know,- He that created? and He is the One that understands the finest mysteries (and) is well-acquainted (with them).









15. Wohi To Hay Jis Nay Tumharay Liye Zameen Ko Narm Kiya, To Us Ki RaahO'n Main Chalo PhirO Aur Allah Ka Diya Howa Rizq KhaO Aur Tum Ko Usi Kay PaSs QabrO Say Nikal Kar Jana Hay,

It is He Who has made the earth manageable for you, so traverse ye through its tracts and enjoy of the Sustenance which He furnishes: but unto Him is the Resurrection.









16. Kia Tum Us Say Jo Asmaan Main Hay BayKhof Ho? Kay Tum Ko Zameen Main Dhansa Day Aur Wo Us Waqt Harkat Karnay Lagay,

Do ye feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)?









17. Kia Tum Us Say Jo Asmaan Main Hay Naddar Ho? Kay Tum Par Kankar bhari Hawa Chor Day, So Tum Anqareeb Jaan Lo Gay, Kay Mera Daranaa Kaisa Hay,

Or do ye feel secure that He Who is in Heaven will not send against you a violent tornado (with showers of stones), so that ye shall know how (terrible) was My warning?









18. Aur Jo Log Un Say Pehlay Thay UnhO Nay Bhi Jhutlaya Tha, So Daikh Lo Mera Azaab Kaisa Howa,

But indeed men before them rejected (My warning): then how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)?









19. Kia UnhO Nay Apnay SarO Par Urtay JanwarO Ko Nahi Daikha Jo ParO Ko Phailaye Rehtay Hain Aur Un Ko Sukair bhi Laita Hain, Allah Kay Siwa Unhain Koi Thaam Nahi Sakta, Bayshaq Wo Har Cheez Ko Daikh Raha Hay

Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them in? None can uphold them except ((Allah)) Most Gracious: Truly ((Allah)) Most Gracious: Truly it is He that watches over all things.









20. Bhala Aisa Kon Hay Jo Tumhari Fauj Hokar Allah Kay Siwa Tumhari Madad Kar Sakay, Kafir To Dhokay Main Hain,

Nay, who is there that can help you, (even as) an army, besides ((Allah)) Most Merciful? In nothing but delusion are the Unbelievers.









21. Bhala Agar Wo Apna Rizq Band Kar LaY, To Kon Hay Jo Tum Ko Rizq Day? Laikin Ye Sarkashi Aur Nafrat Main Phasay Howay Hain,

Or who is there that can provide you with Sustenance if He were to withhold His provision? Nay, they obstinately persist in insolent impiety and flight (from the Truth).









22. Bhala Jo Shakhs Chalta Howa Moon Kay Bal Gir Parta Hay Wo Seedhay Rastay Par Hay? Ya Wo Jo Seedhay Rastay Par Baraber Chal Raha Ho?

Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided,- or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way?









23. Wo Allah Hi To Hay Jis Nay Tum Ko Paida Kiya, Tumharay Kaan Aur Ankhain Aur Dil Banaye, Magar Tum Kam Ehsaan Mantay Ho.

Say: "It is He Who has created you (and made you grow), and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give.









24. Keh Do Kay Wohi Hay Jis Nay Tumko Zameen Main phailaya Aur Usi Kay Roobaroo Tum Log Jama Kiye JaO Gay..

Say: "It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together."









25. Aur Kafir Kehtay Hain Kay Agar Tum Sachay Ho To ye Waeed Kab Poori Hogi?

They ask: When will this promise be (fulfilled)? - If ye are telling the truth.









26. Keh Do! Kay Is Ka ILM Allah Hi Ko Hay, Aur Main To Khol Khol Kar Das Gunnah Dainay Wala HoOn,

Say: "As to the knowledge of the time, it is with Allah alone: I am (sent) only to warn plainly in public."









27. So Jab Wo Daikh Lain Gay Kay Wo Wada Qareeb Agya, To KafirO Kay Moon Buray Hojaye Gay Aur Un Say Kaha Jaye Ga Kay Ye Wohi Hay Jis Kay Tum Khawstgaar Thay..

At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled), which ye were calling for!"









28. KahO Kay Bhala DaikhO To Agar Allah Mujh Ko Aur Mere SathiyO Ko Halaaq Kar Day, ya Hum Par Maherbani Karay To Kon Hay Jo KafirO Ko Dukh Dainay Walay Azaab Say Pana'h Day,

Say: "See ye?- If Allah were to destroy me, and those with me, or if He bestows His Mercy on us,- yet who can deliver the Unbelievers from a grievous Penalty?"










29. Keh Do Kay Wo Jo Khuda-e-Rehman Hay, Hum Usi Par Imaan Laye Aur Usi Par bharOsa Rakhtay Hain, Tum ko Jald Maloom Hojaye Ga Kay Saree'h Gumraahi Main Kon Par Raha Tha,

Say: "He is ((Allah)) Most Gracious: We have believed in Him, and on Him have we put our trust: So, soon will ye know which (of us) it is that is in manifest error."









30. KahO Kay Bhala DaikhO To Agar Tumhara Pani Jo Tum Peetay Ho Aur barat'tay Ho, Khushq Hojaye. To Allah Kay Siwa Kon Hay Jo Tumharay Liye Sheereen Pani Ka Chashma baha Laye?

Say: "See ye?- If your stream be some morning lost (in the underground earth), who then can supply you with clear-flowing water?"
