Ajeeb shaks tha, har ik se pyar mangta tha
jaha na dard ho, aisa deyar mangta tha

jo mangta tha woh dena meri baisat na thi
woh meri rooh ka mujh se qarar mangta tha

usse gharz thi gulon se na bulbulon se zara
woh fasal-e-ranj mein fasal-e-bahar mangta tha

usse talab thi koi toot kar usse chahe
woh hath jor k ulfat hazar mangta tha

usse aziz tha duniya ka har mukam
woh shaks unche daar mangta tha

mere khalos par shayad tha shak usse
wafa ki raah mein woh aitebar mangta tha. . .
