Mere wehm-o-guman se b zada toot jata hai
yeh dil apni haddon mein reh kar toot jata hai

mein ro'oon to dar-o-deewar mujhpe hanste hain
hansoon to mere andar jane kya kya toot jata hai

mein jis lamhe ki khuwahish mein safar karta hoon sadyon se
kabhi paaoon talay akar woh lamha toot jata hai

mere khuwabon ki basti se janaze uthe jate hain
meri ankhen jise choo lein woh sapna toot jata hai

na jane kitni muddat se hai yeh amal jaari
zara si thais lagti hai zara sa toot jata hai

muqaddar mein mere shikast-o-rakht itni hai
mein jisko apna kehloon woh sitara toot jata hai.
