Ab kis se Kahain aur kon Sunnay jo haal tumhary baad hoa
is dil ki jheel si ankhoon main ik khawab bohat barbad hoa

ye hijar hoa bhi dushman hay us naam k sary rangoon ki
wo naam jo mery hontoon per khusboo ki tarha abad hoa

is shehar main kitny chehray thay, kuch yaad nahi sab bhool gaey
ik shakhas kitaboon jesa tha wo shakhas zubani yaad hoa

wo apny gaon ki galiyaan thein dil jin main nachta gata tha
ab is se farq nahi parta nashad hoa ya shad hoa

benaam sitaish rehti thee un gehri jheel si ankhon main
aisa to kabhi socha bhi na tha dil ab jitna be dad hoa
