I lie awake at night,
and wonder if you know.

I lost you once,

I got you back once,
and prayed to God that it would last.
But it ended in a heartbeat,
It ended way too fast.

I sometimes hold your picture,
and cry myself to sleep.
I think of how I still love you,
and how my love's so deep.

No one understands,
not even my best friend.
That I want to be with you,
Until my life's to end.

I remember that night,
the night that we first met.
I thought to myself,
"This is love, I bet."

If it wasn't for my best friend,
I never would have met you.
Then I did, I got you, and lost you...twice,
