Kaatii hai gam kii raat badey ehtaraam se
aksar bujhaa liyaa hai charaagon ko shaam se

Raushan hai apnii bazm aur is ehtamaam se
kuchh dil bhii jal rahe hain charaagon ke naam se

muddat huii hai khoon-e-tamannaa kiye magar
ab tak tapak rahaa hai lahuu dil ke jaam se

subah-e-bahaar ham ko bulaatii rahii magar
ham kheltey rahe kisii zulfon kii shaam se

har saans par hai maut kaa peharaa lagaa huaa
aahistaa ai hayaat guzarr..... is maqaam se .......

kaatii tamaam umr fareb-e-bahaar mein
kaantey samait tey rahe phuulon ke naam se

ye aur baat hai ke "Sameer" ham na sun sake
Awaaz us ne dii hai hamein har maqaam se.............. OH ZALIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Hun mein is ada se bhi aashna tujhe itna jis pe gharoor hai
mein jeon ga tere beghair bhi mujhe zindagi ka shaoor hai

Yeh pathron ka shaher hey - yahan to ansoo bhi jum jate hain
