Ek ajab si betaabi reh gayi uske jaane ke baad
bheer mein bhi tanhaai reh gayi uske jaane ke baad,
Bhala bura jaisa bhi kaha us ne phir bhi
uski khuaahish reh gayi uske jaane ke baad,

Mere chehre ki raunaqen thein us se barqarar
ab kuch nahi baaqi uske jaane ke baad,

Meri dunya mujh mein simat kar reh gayi hai
hoon main boht tanha uske jaane ke baad,

Zindagi mein jin khushyon ki talab mujhy rahi sari umar
ab ujar gayi hain sab umangen uske jaane ke baad,

Khud se karun shikwa yaa apne naseeb se
main to jaise bikhar gai hoon uske jaane ke baad
