Mujh ko mera yaqeen bohat moatber laga,
Yai aur baat waqt bada be-khabar laga.

Socha tha tum se door chala jaoon ga magar,
Dekha to har maqaam tere reh guzer laga.

Beenaaei mujh se cheen ke yun le gaya koii,
Roshan hai din magar mujhey pichla pehar laga.

Aankhon ke sab diyae terey rastey pe rakh diyae,
Taareek iss liyae merey dil ka nagar laga.

Zerey falak to mil na saka ghar sukoon ka,
Zerey zameen jo mujh ko mila apna gher laga.
