Add drama, dimension and depth to your eye makeup with a gorgeous sultry grey smokey eye. You can’t go wrong with a smokey eye especially for a night-time occasion paired with a formal embellished outfit. This tutorial will show you how to create a simple smokey eye using a few eyeshadows and a simple smokey eye technique on achieving the richest black smokey eye.
What you will need:
Essence Eyeshadow Base
Black Soft Khol Kajal
Color Studio Professional Eye Ink’s in Carbon Black, Cosmic Dust, Moon Dust
Catrice Maximum Resist Volume Mascara
Tools:
Blending Brush
Flat Eyeshadow Shader Brush
Small blending brush
Start off by using an eyeshadow base before applying any makeup onto your eyes. For a smokey eye I recommend doing your foundation and concealer after since black eye shadows can be messy to work with.
Use a creamy black soft kohl pencil and smudge it along your lash line and outer crease. You want to use a pencil that is easily blendable so that you don’t need to tug on your eyelid too much.
Taking a blending brush, smudge out the eyeliner. Using the pencil will create a dark base for your eyeshadow- making the matte black eyeshadow appear richer and darker.
Taking a matte black eyeshadow- apply it on top of the khol pencil. Use a small amount of eyeshadow and gradually build up the color to achieve your desired look.
