To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times
عبدللہ بن مسعود (رضي اللہ تعالی عنہ) سے روایت ہے کے میں نے
نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ واله وسلم) سے پوچھا، سب سے اچھی نیکی کیا ہے، آپ نے فرمایا" نماز کو اسکے ابتدائی مقرر اوقات میں پڑھنا".. میں نے پوچھا اسکے بعد نیکی کیا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا " اپنے والدین کی خدمت کرنا".. میں نے مزید پوچھا اور کیا؟ تو آپ نے فرمایا الله کی راہ میں جہاد کرنا.. میں نے پھر مزید نہیں پوچھا، اگر میں پوچھتا تو آپ مزید بتاتے جاتے.

Narrated Abdullah bin Masud(Razi Allah Ta'ala Anhu) I asked Allah's Apostle(Sallallahu Alaihi Wa'alehi Wasallam), What is the best deed?" He(saww) replied, "To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times." I asked, "What is next in goodness?" He(saww) replied, "To be good and dutiful to your parents." I further asked, what is next in goodness?" He(saww) replied, "To participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause." I did not ask Allah's Apostle(saww) anymore and if I had asked him more, He(saww) would have told me more.

THE SALAM MAKES UP FOR SHUNNING

The Prophet (peace and blessing of Allaah be upon him) says,► "It's not lawful for a Muslim man to refuse to speak to a believer for more than 3 (three) days. When 3 days have passed, he should meet him & greet him. If he returns the greeting, they share in the reward. If he does not return the greeting, the one who gives the greeting is innocent of having severed relations."
