Mein toot ke bikhra to
Kuch Tukron ne bataya mujhe ke
"Hum" kya hai
Jo dard se hi juda ho,
Us ke liye ghum se baDa
Marham kya hai?

Sari duniya pe jo rakhee hai
Tumne ye nazar
Mujhpe tehre nahi Allah! ye
Sitam kya hai?

Mein hazaar meel chala to
Manzil na mili
Thakhi saDke'N bas sikhati rahin
Karam kya hai

Ankhon se bhi kuch log
Bol dete hain jhoot
Waade torne walon ki
Kasam kya hai?

Aye bewafa wafa ke
Wade kyun kiye?
Kya bhool gaye the ke
Sharam kya hai?

Dil ke toot jaane pe
Dard hota hai kyun?
Jiska lahoo bhi na dhikhe wo
Zakham kya hai?

BaDa armaan hai ek din
Be-reham takhdeer
Mujhse bole "Aqa, kaho
Hukum kya hai"

Kahe, "Kafa hoto dil hi mein
Roye jaate ho kyun?
Ansoon dhikao to poochu'N ke
Gham kya hai?"

Mein toot ke bikhra to
