Husn par marna to is dil ki zaroorat ho gaya
Pehle aadat tha par ab jaise tabeeat ho gaya

Kaar-e-dunia se ye jaaN pehle hi sad-mushkil mein thi
Is pe un ka dekhna dil ki museebat ho gaya

Ishq ka hona, k tha barbaadiyoN ki ik naveed
Aaise kaar-aamad hua, saamaan-e-fursat ho gaya

Bach gaya jo koi cheerah-dastiyoN se waqt ki
Wo yahaN qurbaN-ba-paa-e-ehl-e-sarvat ho gaya

Ham ko jeevan to dia par kaam itne de diye
AcHa khaasa waqt tha "do din ki mohlat" ho gaya

Sang they khalwat mein wo aur ye dua thi kucH na ho
Kuch na karte karte bhi kufraan-e-ne'mat ho gaya

She'r kehna wo bhi ******* jaise kam-aagaah ka !!
Ittefaaqan zariya-e-izhaar-e-fitrat ho gaya
