JAANA dil ka shehar nagar afsoos ka hay
tera mera sarah safar afsoos ka hay

Kis chahat sey shehar-e-tammana manga tha
Ab hathoon mein sagar Afsoos ka hay

Ik dhehleez pe jaa kar dil khush hota tha
Ab toh shehar mein har ik dil afsoos ka hay

Hum ney Ishq Guna sey bhar kar jaana tha
Aur dil pe pehlaa pathar afsoos ka hay

Dekhoo ess chahat k pairh ki shakhoon par
Phool ous hassi ka hay Samar afsoos ka hay

Koi pachtawa sa pachtawa hay FARAZ

jo yuu.N kiyaa hai to phir kyuu.N gilaa karo us se

ye ahl-e-baz tunak hausalaa sahii phir bhii
zaraa fasaanaa-e-dil ibtidaa karo us se

ye kyaa ke tum hii Gam-e-hijr ke fasaane kaho
kabhii to us ke bahaane sunaa karo us se

nasiib phir ko_ii taqriib-e-qarb ho ke na ho
jo dil me.n ho.n vahii baate.n kiyaa karo us se

'Faraz' tark-e-ta'alluq to Khair kyaa hogaa
yahii bahut hai ke kam kam milaa karo us se
