ab naye saal ki mohalat nahin milane vaali
aa chuke ab to shab-o-roz azaaboon vaale

ab to sab dashnaa-o-Khanjar ki zubaanN bolate hain
ab kahaaN log muhabbat ke nisaabon vaale

zindaa rahane ki tamannaa ho to ho jaate hain
faaKhtaaoon ke bhi kirdaar uqaabon vaale

na mere zaKhm khile hain na teraa rang-e-hinaa
mausam aaye hi nahin ab ke gulaaboon vaale
