Jo rasta main ne chun lia uss ko badal'na kyun nahin aaya
Mujhe auron ke naqsh-e-paa pe chal'na kyun nahin aaya?

Mere jazbon ki hiddat iss ke dil tak hi nahin pohnchi,
Meri kirnon ko baadal se nikal'na kyun nahin aaya ??

Zara sa larkharra ke gir parra main aik thokar se ,
Qadam ukharre tou mujh ko phir sambhalna kyun nahi aya??

Ye dil lagta hai baazi haar jane mein mu'lawis tha,
Usse kho ker bhi kaf-e-afsos mal'na kyun nahi aaya??

Nahin maloom kaise umer guzari mukhtalif sab se,
Mujhe iss Aag mein reh ke bhi jal'na kyun nahin aaya??
