aaj ashqon ka taar toot gaya
rishta- e- intezaar toot gaya

woh thukra ke chal diya goya
ek khilauna tha toot gaya

roye reh-reh kar hichkiyan lekar
saaz-e-gam bar -bar toot gaya

aap ki berukhi kaa shikva Kya
dil tha na paay e daar toot gaya

dekh li dil ne besabti-e-gul
phir tilism-e-bahar toot gaya

''Saif'' kya chaar din kii ranjish se
itani muddat ka pyar toot gaya.
