Bas ik shab ke liye wisal-e-Yaar main rehna
Phir us ke baad raah-e-Intezaar main rehna

Kabhi sukoon kabhi khalafshaar main rehna
Hamien azeez tere ikhteyaar main rehna

Woh be-Iraada teri khushboon ko chu lena
Phir ik ajeeb se kaif-o-Khumaar main rehna

Woh ik pal ke liye arzoo-e-mohabbat ki
Phir ik umar safar ke ghubaar main rehna

Meri dua ko kahien raasta nahin milta
Jahan bhi rehna isi inteshaar main rehna
