Shamma roshan sar-e-khursheed nahi ho sakti
Tujh say behter teri tamheed nahi ho sakti

Koi mehtaab teri kaat nahi ho sakta
Chaand say chaand ki terdeed nahi ho sakti

Jaan haazir hai teray waastay a yaar mager
Teri her baat ki taaeed nahi ho sakti

Dil ka kuch noor bhi shaamil hai is hi mein werna
Itni roshan koi ummeed nahi ho sakti

Tu nazer aaye to aankhon ka ye roza tootay
Chaand ko dekhay bina eid nahi ho sakti.
