Unkee nazdeekiyaan paanaa bahut zarooree hai!
Ba'ad, seeney mein chhupaanaa bahut zarooree hai!!

Maan jaayengey abhi haal: magar, houley sey,

Un ko seeney sey lagaanaa bahut zarooree hai!

Deykhiye, jaa rahey hain wo kahaan akeyley hee?
Rok, aankhoun mein bithaanaa bahut zarooree hai!

Bazm sey hat key jaraa baag-e-nou mein ley chaliye:
Gair nazaron sey bachaanaa bahut zarooree hai!

Aashiyaaney mein mahaz rakh key bhalaa kyaa hogaa?
Dil key aangan mein tikaanaa bahut zarooree hai!

Raat kaafi nahin hai dour-e-muhabbat key liye;
Har lamhey roo—b-roo aanaa bahut zarooree hai!

Kab talak ghoomatey galiyon mein, nazar aaougey?
Bajaa hai, thhour-thhikaanaa bahut zarooree hai!

Jism miltey hon, mileyn: paas, magar, roohon key,
Pyaar kaa khaas khazaanaa bahut zarooree hai!

Baag-e-gulbun sey gulandaam churaa laaye ho?
'Abd', jigar mein sajaanaa bahut zarooree hai!
