اس کو احساس کی خوشبو سےرہا کرنا تھا
پھول کو شاخ سےکھلتے ہی جدا کرنا تھا

پوچھ بارش سےوہ ہنستےہوئےر وتی کیوں ہے
شامِ گلشن کو نشہ بار ذرا کرنا تھا

تلخ لمحات نہیں دیتےکبھی پیاسوں کو
آسر ا دے کے ہمیں کچھ تو بھلا کرنا تھا

چاند پورا تھا اسےتکتے رہے یوں شب بھر
اپنی یادوں کا ہمیں زخم ہرا کر نا تھا

دونوں سمتوں کو ہی مڑنا تھا مخالف جانب
ساتھ اپنا ہمیں شعروں میں لکھا کرنا تھا
