Mujh ko ik hamdam mila tha,ik safar ki raat main
Main bohat baykhud hoa tha,ik safar ki raat main

jany kis ki yaad thi k ik manzar dekh kar
toot kar main roo para tha!ik safar ki raat main

Woh k jis sayy umar bhar ki Doryian mansoob hain
Mery seenay sy laga tha ik safar ki raat main

Har taraf phaily hoye thy yaad-e-gham k silsilay
Kitna mushkil raasta tha, ik safar ki raat main

ghar sy bahar paon rakhty hi Laraz uth-ta hai Dil
Hadsa aisa hoa tha Ik safar ki raat main

Aaj bhi Gungunata hon usy tanhai main
Geet jo humny suna tha Ik safar ki raat main
