Ab ke yuN dil ko sazaa dii hamne
us kii har baat bhulaa dii hamne

ek, ek phuul bahut yaad aaya
shaaKh-e-gul jab vo jalaa dii hamne

aaj tak jis pe vo shermaate haiN
baat vo kab kii bhulaa dii hamne

shah’r-e-jahaaN raaKh se aabaad huaa
aag jab dil kii bujhaa dii hamne

aaj phir yaad bahut aaya vo
aaj phir us ko du’aa dii hamne

ko’ii to baat hai us meN “Faiz”
har Khushii jis pe luTaa dii hamne
