charagh mele se bahar rakha gaya woh bhi
hawa ki tarah se na motabar raha woh bhi

zameen zaad bhi bhula jo lafz e rahdari
fasil e shahar se bahar khara raha woh bhi

men os kay sare rawaiyon pe motariz hoti
meri tarah se magar tha dukha huwa woh bhi

gali kay mod pe dekha ose to kesi khushi
kisi kay waste hoga ruka huwa woh bhi

men os ki khoj men dewana war phirti hun
isi lagan se kabhi mujhko dhundta woh bhi

perveen shakir
