tum pucho aur main na bataun aise to halat nahin
ek zara sa dil tuta hai aur to koi bat nahin

kis ko khabar thi sanwale badal bin barse ur jate hain
sawan aya lekin apni qismat mein barsat nahin

mana jiwan mein aurat ek bar mohabbat karti hai
lekin mujhko ye to bata de kya tu aurat zat nahin

khatm hua mera afsana ab ye ansu ponch bhi lo
jis mein koi tara chamke aj ki rat wo rat nahin

mere gam-gin hone par ahbab hain yon hairan "Qateel"
jaise main patthar hun mere sine mein jazbat nahin
