giriftaa_dil hain bahut aaj tere diivaane
Khudaa kare koii tere sivaa na pahachaane

miTii miTii sii ummiidein thake thake se Khayaal
bujhe bujhe se nigaahon mein Gam ke afasaane

hazaar shukr ke ham ne zubaaN se kuchh na kahaa
ye aur baat ke puuchhaa na ahal-e-duniyaa ne

baqadr-e-tashnaa_labii pursish-e-vafaa na huii
chhalak ke rah gaye terii nazar ke paimaane

Khayaal aa gayaa maayuus rah_guzaaron kaa
palaT ke aa gaye manzil se tere diivaane

kahaaN hai tuu ke tere intazaar mein ai dost
tamaam raat sulagate rahe dil ke viiraane

ummiid-e-pursish-e-Gam kis se kiijiye 'Nasir'
jo mere dil pe guzaratii hai koi kyaa jaane

Kabhi zindagi me kisik liay mut rona**
q k vo''tumhare ansoun k kabil nahi ho ga''
or ''vo'' jo is ''kabil'' ho ga vo tumhe ''rone'' nahi de ga''*****
