Tere firaak ke lamhey shumaar kartey huway
Bikhar chaley hain tera intizaar kartey huway

To main bhi khush hoon koi us se ja ke keh dena
Agar woh khush hai mujhey beqarar kartey huway

Tumhein khabar hi nahin hai ke koi toot gaya
Mohabbatoon ko buhat paidaar kartey huway

Main muskurata huwa aainey mein ubhroon ga
Woh roo parey gi achanak singhaar kartey huway

Mujhey khabar thi ke ab laut kar na aaonga
So tujhko yaad kiya dil pe waar kartey huway

Woh keh rahi thi ke samandar nahin hain aankhein hain
Main un mein doob gaya aitebaar kartey huway

Bhanwar jo mujh mein parey hain woh mein hi jaanta hoon
Tumharey hijr ke darya ko paar kartey huway
