Yeh kitaboon ke kisey yeh fasano ki batein
Nigahoon ki jhilmil yeh judai ki ratien

Muhabat ki kasmein nibahney ke wadey
Yeh wafa ka dhoka yeh jhootha irada

Yeh batein kitabi yeh nazmein purani
Na inki haqiqat na inki kahani

Na likhna inhey na mehfooz karna
Yeh jazbaat hai inhey mehsoos karna
