Aankh khulte hi ojhal ho jaate ho tum,
Khwaab ban ke aise kyon sataate ho tum?

Gumon ko bhulaane ka ek sahara hi sahi,
Mere Murjhaaye hue dil ko behlaate ho tum?

Door tak beh jaate hai jazbaat tanha dil ke,
Hasraton ke kadmon se lipat jaate ho tum?

Sheesh mahal ki tarah lagte ho mujhko to,
Khandhar hui khwaishon ko basaate ho tum?

Yaadon ki tarah kaid rehna meri aankhon mey,
Aansoo bann kar palkon pe chale aate ho tum?

Tumhari Adhoori si aas mey dil zinda to hai,
Saans lene ki mujhko wajah de jaate ho tum?
