Zara sa dil behal jaye to shayad neend aa jaye

Abhi to qurb hai bechani hai aur beqarari hai

Tabiyat kuch sambhal jaye to shayad neend aa jaye

Abhi to naram jhonkon mein chupe hain teer yaadon ke

Hawa ka rukh badal jaye to shayad neend aa jaye

Ye hansta muskurata qafla chand aur taaron ka

Zara aagy nikal jaye to shayad neend aa jaye

Ye toofan ansuon ka jo ubhar aaya hai palkon tak

Kisi surat se tal jaye to shayad neend aa jaye
