Aagaaz to hota hai anjaam nahi hota
jab meri kahani mein woh naam nahi hota

jab zulf ki kaalikh mein ghul jayee koi rahi
badnaam sahi laikin gumnaam nahi hota

hans hans kay jawaan dil kay hum kiyoon na chune tukray
her shahks ki kismat mein inaam nahi hota

behtay huay aansuon nay aankhoo say kaha tham ke
joh meh say pigal jayee woh jaam nahi hota

din doobe hain yaa doobi baraat liye kashti
sahil pay magr koi kohraam naho hota
