Shab-e-zindagi ke wajood mein kissi aaftaab ko dhoondna
Yehi tergi ka ilaaj hai rukh-e-benaqaab ko dhoondna

Kabhi khwaahishon ke hajoom mein kissi shaam neend na aaye tho
Khuli aankh se bare dhiyaan se kissi tashna khwaab ko dhoondna

Koi pech-daar sawaal gar tumhein uljhanon mein utaar de
To phir apne dil ke nashaib se kissi ik jawaab ko dhoondna
