Hum nay kati hain tere yaad main raten aksar
Dil say guzri hain sitaron ki baraten aksar

Aur to kon hay jo mujhe ko tasalli daita
Hath rakh daiti hain dil per tere baten aksar

Hum say ek bar jeeta hay na jeetay ga koye
Wo to hum jan k kha laitay hain maten aksar

Un say pocho kabhi chehray bhi parhay hain tum nay
Jo kitabon ki kiya kartay thay baten aksar
