Kya uss ka gila ki jiye usse pyaar hi kab tha
Wo ahad faramosh wafa daar hi kab tha?

Uss ne to sada pooje hain urte huwe jugnu
Wo chand sitaaron ka paristaar hi kab tha?

Hum doob gaye jaagti raaton ke bhanwar mein
Haath uss ka hamaare liye barha hi kab tha?

Aawaz jo mein doon to kisi aur ko choo le
Iss aankh micholi se wo bezaar hi kab tha?
