Jo aansoo dil mein girtey hein wo aankhoon mein nahi rehte
Buhat se haarf aise hein jo lafzoon mein nahi rehte

Kitaaboon mein likhey jaatey hein dunya bhar kay afsaaney
Magar jin mein haqeeqat ho wo kitaaboon mein nahi rehte

Bahaa'r aaye to har aik phool pe saath aati hai
Hawa jin ka muqaddar ho wo shakhoon mein nahi rehte

Liye phirtey hein kuch ehbaab aise muztarib lamhey
Jahan darbaar mil jaaye jabeenoon mein nahi rehte

Mehek aur titlioon ka naam bhanwrey se juda kioon hu
Kay yeh bhi to khizaan aaney pe phooloon mein nahi rehte
