Ye dill jab se ek becharaa ho gia
sach poocho tu maiN aawaraah ho gia

jitne bhi mere dost thay bachpan ke
koii chaand tu koii taarah ho giaa

ek tu ye ishq afat us pe ye dill aafat
Husn ki galiyouN kaa banjaraah ho giaa

Naseh se kia khoud se bhi sherma gia
maiN badnam e zamana saaraa ho giaa

aisa tenha bhi na thaa hijar-e-yar maiN Waheed
Jise bhii ghour ker daikha wo hamaraa ho giaa
