Aaj sooraj say nahi saamna hua mera
Khud kahaan chup gaya germi bahaa gaya saari
Zameen ki saans mein hiddat hai shadeed
Or kuch habs hawaaon k saath chalta hai
Chaaon layti thi jo ashjaar talay
Ab to us nay bhi kerwatein lay leen
Sab darakhton ki payshaani say rista hai paseenah
Khush honton pay phairtay hein zabaan
Meri choukhat, meray deewaar-o-derr, gali meri
Dasht ki terhan san-sanaatay hein
Or hasrat bhari nigaahon say
Dekhtay hein ufaq k paar kaheen
Koi mouhoum si ummeed bandhi hai shaayad
Chand baadal
Bohat sa mael liye ghoom rahay hein sir pay
Main muntazir hoon koi boond ager dil pay paray
Teri yaadon ki sookhi satah bhi num ho jaaye
Teray saanson ki mehek chaar soo baras jaaye !
