aaj dil phir buht udaas hai

aankho se jaati hi nahi pyaas hai

jane dill ko chain kab aae ga

raas is dill ko kon sa rang aae ga

ham tu thak b gae chalte chalte

manzil apni ka nishaan han dondhte phirte

ab bas b karo meri udasiyu kyn staati ho

staae hoe han buht aur kyn rolati ho

jane kon sa raagh ye zindagi gaae jati hai

lamha lamha dukh hamare saath sanjoe jati hai

kabi, udaas rato se bahir b nikal paaen ge

sukh ke wo pal kab, hamare paas aaen ge
