ye bhi kya sham-e-mulaqat ai
lab pe mushkil se teri bat ai

subah se chup hain tere hijr nasib
haye kya hoga agar rat ai

bastiyan chor k barse badal
kis qayamat ki ye barsat ai

koi jab mil k hua tha rukhsat
dil-e-betab wahi rat ai

saya-e-zulf-e-butan main ‘Nasir’
ek se ek nai rat ai

Kabhi zindagi me kisik liay mut rona**
q k vo''tumhare ansoun k kabil nahi ho ga''
or ''vo'' jo is ''kabil'' ho ga vo tumhe ''rone'' nahi de ga''*****
